However, you may still notice a bit of pulp settling at the bottom of your glass. If you prefer a completely smooth texture, simply strain the milk through a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer before pouring it into your storage container.
This will help to remove any remaining bits of seed and ensure a silky-smooth texture. Using a nut milk bag is a simple and effective way to strain your hemp milk. Simply place the bag over a large bowl or pitcher and pour the blended mixture into the bag. Gently squeeze the bag to extract as much milk as possible, then discard the pulp.

I absolutely love the natural earthy taste of hemp milk. However, if you're like me and looking to switch things up, there are plenty of ways to add more flavor. Here are some of my favorite ideas:

- Another option is to make chocolate hemp milk by blending in 1 tablespoon of cacao powder and 1 tablespoon of sweetener.

- Finally, for a refreshing and energizing twist, you can add 1 heaped tablespoon of matcha powder and 1 tablespoon of sweetener to your hemp milk.
- This creates a delicious matcha hemp milk that's perfect for starting your day or sipping as a midday pick-me-up.
How long does it last?
In the fridge, homemade hemp milk keeps for up to five days. To ensure optimal freshness, it would be better to consume during the first two to three days. However, you may pour it onto a silicone ice cube tray and freeze it for later use. After that, you can incorporate these cubes into your upcoming chia seed pudding or strawberry banana smoothie!
HOW TO MAKE HEMP MILK (2-INGREDIENTS)
- ½ cup hulled hemp seeds (hemp hearts)
- 4 cups water
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup, honey or 2-3 pitted dates
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Add hemp seeds, water, and any additional sweeteners to a high-powered blender.
- Blend for 1 minute or until the milk is nice and creamy.
- Pour the hemp milk into a sealable container (see my favorite in the notes below).
- Place it into the fridge and store it for up to 5 days.
- If you want your hemp milk to be thicker and creamier, use less water.
