It's simple to make this whipped garlic feta dip with cream cheese, Greek yogurt, or sour cream! It has a faint lemon flavor, basic seasonings, and diced tomatoes can be added as a garnish. With crackers, pita chips, or vegetables for dipping, serve this hot or cold.
Feta Dip
This feta dip is simple to prepare and can be served to guests right away. I like to toast some Naan bread with some olive oil and sea salt in the oven to use as dipping bread. Additionally available are pita chips, crackers, crusty bread, and vegetables.
Are there any recent garden cucumbers you have? That is yet another favorite side dish for this dip.
How to Make it
- In a food processor, combine softened cream cheese and process until smooth.
- Blend in the dill, oregano, drained garlic cloves, feta cheese, plain Greek yogurt, and lemon juice.
- Serve right away or keep chilled until ready to serve.
- Bake in a covered baking dish at 350° for 25 minutes to serve warm.
Substitute for Plain Greek Yogurt
I suggest mixing equal parts of one of the following in place of Greek yogurt if you find yourself in need of one:
Sour milk. I frequently choose to substitute this, so that would be my first option.
You can also use mayo.
Another choice is cottage cheese, which has a great flavor but a slightly different consistency.
Storage:
For up to five days, keep in the refrigerator in an airtight, covered container.
What To Serve With Feta Dip
This dip goes well with crackers, pita chips, toasted Naan bread, crusty French bread, vegetables, and crackers. (Cucumber slices go especially well with this dip.)
